Each Earth Day becomes bigger than the preceding one. The Catholics started an Evangelization 3000 Crusade and all religions an Ecumenical Council 3000. A World Commission of Spiritual Renaissance and a United Religions Initiative were created and the Pope presented his views on a spiritual trimillennium.

Mr. Muller- you have been such an important influence in my life. I work from my place of passion, and I have been fortunate to find in my work some effect of this. I have no choice- as I- like you am an optimist. I know that the work can be a better place. We can begin to make the changes that we need. The earth is a happy host to those with "terra" respect. I have come to realize our close relationship with the earth through farming in New Mexico. Seed Saving and giving thanks for harvests. I remember many of your words during my times of doubt, and like sails- they carry me through.

SO- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May your day be blessed with good company, laughter and love.

I enjoy our conversations - and hearing Ode to Joy played by an angel such as yourself. Ode to Joy, a song tied to my heart throughout my young life- and now made so much more significant with your spirit attached.

I would like to visit you in Costa Rica, and I would like to visit the University for Peace. I feel strongly about this- and I really hope that I can meet you in person at some point.

Dear Mr Muller,

I am short on time and listening to news this morning in North Carolina: Isreal and Palestine clashing, sad voices of fathers and brothers. I look around my life here where people have "Life Is Good" stickers on their cars and no clue as to why life seems so good here.

I don't question the capacity for compassion within each human, but this city is blind and ignorant.

Thank you for your leadership, sometimes I memorize them and during my day when I start to lose it.

I pray them as mantra's and share them with others. I don't think you're nuts, I think you're amazing.

I know that change only comes from within and you help steer my course.

I aspire to be like you and hope to one day impact lives the way you have.

A new fundamental human right should be the right not to pay taxes which will be used for militarism and armaments. The percentage of military expenses in the total expenses of a nation would be the percentage of the tax reduction.

It was great that my friend Douglas Gillies wrote a biography of a good part of my life to show what a human being can achieve from behind the scenes, even without being well known and having a great name.

I must now give one further lesson and example: namely what one human being is able to do and achieve when he is an old, very old and near to death being. At the age of 83 I consider this to be the greatest last duty of my life.
