In 1998 the groundbreaking 'Worldwide Fund for Nature' and other groups issued a 'Living Planet Report', according to which human beings have destroyed more than thirty percent of the world's nature since 1970 and that the destruction is accelerating.

The situation has even become worse. It is possible that existing national, business and group interests will maintain by all costs their primary interests and render any improvements impossible. If so, the futures of humanity and of the Earth's nature and other species are in mortal danger.

Millions of people gape in front of European cathedrals, but it would not occur to anyone to build one more, to have another cosmic view, to see the Planet of God, to dream, to thank God exultantly or simply to pray.

Subject: ~ Idea 6517 ~ design an entirely new political system which will be able to save us and the planet.

Dear Robert: I not only believe that there is a chance that there will eventually be a World Union, I believe that the idea of unity and one-ness is in the very mind of God himself. Part of the Divine Intention is to bring parts of the Creation together, to create Wholeness and Synthesis so that the Whole can express itself in harmony and in accordance with the highest principles. Those principles that include the Good, the True and the Beautiful are in line with Divine Purpose. As above So Below. That same Divine Purpose created the Whole; watched it grow and develop and become independent and fragmented into parts, only to eventually come back into the consciousness of unity, when enough experience has been undergone and maturity has been reached. When Humanity is mature enough, the nations of the world will be able to agree on "an entirely new political system which will be able to save us and the planet." Perhaps this Saviour will be "the Desire of all Nations".

Even if there is not the slightest chance, we must sit down and map out and structure a biological, biospherical and ecoregional government of our planet. The current political nations inherited from past wars, conquests, marriages, discoveries and murders make no sense anymore. If we want to save this planet, we must design an entirely new political system which will be able to save us and the planet.

Europe which has already abolished all borders between its sixteen members might give the lead and propose the creation of the transformation of the United Nations into a World Union.

Ten years ago, in Idea 320 of May 2, 1995, I recommended that the word love be used frequently in all United Nations' and political documents and speeches around the world. Alas, in 2005 the situation has barely changed I go even further and recommend that the words hope, happiness, optimism, gratitude and several other good ones be added to love. We must absolutely enter a world of feelings and no longer of mere intelligence and calculations.

I am happy that in September of this year my book Most of All, They Taught Me Happiness, which was very popular decades ago will be reprinted. Several more of my books will be republished in a Robert Muller's Classics.

The Secretary General has given a brief statement to the famous meeting of sixteen people from around the world regarding the reform of the United Nations. He gave the list of subjects he would like to see treated by that group regarding the United Nations work and the likely required huge evolution ahead of us.

In his place I would have convened the best minds of the planet and asked them what evolution they considered likely and how humanity should react and influence the further evolution in this next millennium. He did not dare to do that.

One other question should have been that of human admirations, cities and groupings. A monstrous city like San Francisco reduces and does no longer elevate humans, not even with skyscrapers!

There are so many fundamental things, developments to change on this planet which have become utterly wrong. For example road traffic, air transportation, etc. and what other very big predictions, some good, others mostly bad, catastrophic, destructive elements of the nature of this planet? For example, overpopulation in the poor countries, over consumption and colossal wastes and garbage in the rich ones?

If there are people who really do not want to work and since machines do more and more most of the human work, why not accept nonworking as being normal in modern society and no longer a blemish, a shortcoming, a 'nonvalue'?

The same applies to nonconsumption, which is becoming a value, a blessing for the Earth conservation.

We must rethink from scratch our ways and evolution.

Re: Feedback on Ideas for a better world

Build or create a large space in at least two major cities - Los Angeles and New York, called Paradise Earth - a place for new media creations - (films and creations for television that feature works that create a better world). There would be a theatre open to the public. This would exist alongside a school for television commercial production. This would enable Paradise Earth to be economically self-sustaining. There would be a place for conferences and a small restaurant and organic garden. It would be preferable to build the structure using ideas from new architects with vision, so that people would be drawn to its form and methods.
